He then went to work at WITI-TV Milwaukee from 1975-to 1978, where he earned the distinction of being the city’s top meteorologist.

Since joining WGN-TV on August 13, 1978, he’s been there. He is a respected meteorologist locally and nationally. He is known for his enthusiasm, in-depth reports, and the use of state-of-the-art technology. Skilling was WGN Midday News’ chief meteorologist and host of newscasts for over 30 years.
