Frederic Enrico Rick Rossovich was born on 28 August 1957 in Palo Alto (California USA) – his zodiac sign is Virgo, and he is of American nationality. Rick, his brother Tim, and their Croatian father were raised in Grass Valley (California) by Rick’s Italian mother. Tim is a retired American Football player and actor who was active between 1977 and 1998.

After being offered a part in a school play, Rick attended Nevada Union High School. He continued to work at local theatres and was also a keen sportsman, playing football for the school and playing soccer and basketball. After matriculating in 1975 he enrolled at Sacramento State University. He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree and launched his acting career.

In 1991, he was chosen to play Spud Lincoln, the main character in “Sons and Daughters”, a comedy-drama created by Eugenie Ros-Leming and Brad Buckner. It also featured Peggy Smithhart and Lucie Arnaz. The story follows the lives of a family in Portland, Oregon. Rick was chosen to play the role of Dr John ‘Tag” Taglieri in Michael Crichton’s long-running romantic drama “ER”.

The show starred Anthony Edwards and George Clooney, while Julianna Margulies starred. It chronicles the lives of employees at Chicago’s County General Hospital. The series aired from 1994 through 2009 and won 156 awards, including a Golden Globe. There were also 370 nominations.
